Currently, lots of construction is going on at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort as it undergoes refurbishment.
Today, it appears there’s been a water leak at the Disney World resort, causing closures throughout the resort.
We’ve learned that this leak is affecting the resort’s restaurants and bathrooms.
While we didn’t see any water damage ourselves, restaurants—and the pool bar—are currently closed. A Cast Member confirmed that reservations at Kona Cafe have been canceled for the rest of the day, and Mobile Order is not available either. Currently, bottled items and grab-and-go options from Capt. Cook’s are still available.
Additionally, Pineapple Lanai remains open.
Bathrooms are currently closed, but gift shops are still welcoming guests.
At the moment, the resort is only open for DVC members, and a Cast Member shared that those guest rooms should be fine as well. Check back with us for more Disney news.
