One of the most anticipated projects underway at Disney World is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (otherwise known as the Star Wars hotel).
We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction of the hotel and monitoring for new details on the resort’s amenities, and today we got a big update. Thanks to Disney World’s president, Jeff Vahle, we got a glimpse INSIDE the ship!
Jeff Vahle shared the following photos on his Instagram account today (@jeffvahle), saying “@joshdamaro and I enjoyed a sneak peek into the great progress the @WaltDisneyImagineering teams are making on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser here at WDW.”
The photos shown are views from the cabins of the Halcyon (the name of the ship). The first depicts the windows in the room that give guests a view of the galaxy beyond, and the second photo showcases the design for the bunks.
It certainly looks similar to the concept art we’ve seen previously!
During their tour, Vahle and D’Amaro also got the chance to stop by The Atrium and see the windows on The Bridge. Guests are sure to have an amazing view of outer space in this hotel!
We can’t wait to get more details on this upcoming project, and hopefully soon, we’ll be able to book our stay in a galaxy far, far away! Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest updates!

As a major Star Wars fan, I always thought this hotel was a cool concept. However those rooms don’t feel very comfortable and cozy at all!
Have you ever been to a hotel where the room was truly comfy cozy? I haven’t… It’s just a place for keeping your stuff safe and to sleep. The whole idea of this place is the experience of the stay… Just like a great wolf lodge… The rooms are nothing fancy, but you don’t spend much time there…
