Disneyland will be one of Orange County’s five mass vaccine distribution centers.
In an announcement yesterday, we learned that Disneyland will operate as the first large-scale vaccination site in Orange County. Today, Disney shared more updates about this operation.
Vaccine distribution began in California last month, and vaccinations are currently available on a phased, tiered basis to those eligible based on guidelines created by the California Department of Public Health.
Presently, vaccines are available to law enforcement first responders, along with people aged 75 years and up. Beginning later this week, Disneyland will serve as a site that is expected to provide vaccinations for thousands of Orange County residents each day.
Disneyland has now shared additional details about its on-site vaccine distributions. The Toy Story Parking Lot is where the site will be located, across from the Anaheim Convention Center.

Chairman Andrew Do expressed, “The Disneyland Resort, the largest employer in the heart of Orange County, has stepped up to host the county’s first Super POD site – undertaking a monumental task in our vaccination distribution process.”
Vaccines will be available by appointment only. Employers will reach out to eligible employees with the information necessary to schedule appointments at the Disneyland site.
These mass vaccination sites, also referred to as Super PODS, are seen as critical in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in Orange County.
