In recent weeks, airports may have seen a noticeable increase in traveling. This is also evident at Disney World, where the week of Thanksgiving was booked at near-full capacity.

To give individuals coming through Orlando International Airport more opportunities to travel as safely as possible, rapid testing will soon be available.
WESH News reported that Orlando International Airport will begin to offer rapid testing later this month. Phil Brown, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO, commented “As travel increases, with certain destinations requiring COVID-19 testing prior to arrival, having an on-site clinic will enable us to better serve our customers and the community.”

Travelers planning on using this new rapid test site should make sure they have all the latest information regarding testing and the state to which they are traveling to. In addition, the CDC’s recent updates to their guidance on traveling states that an individual should get a test 1-3 days in advance of their travels, as well as 3-5 days after returning.

The rapid testing program at Orlando International Airport is scheduled to continue through July of 2021. The site will be located “pre-security on the airport’s third level, at the West End of the Main Terminal.” The testing site will be open to both travelers as well as airport employees.
