There’s a lot that will be different for the holidays this year in Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has been cancelled for the year, and it has been announced that Gingerbread House displays for the Disney World Resort hotel lobbies will not be taking place.

However, there is one gingerbread display that will be returning this year — though, in a different spot than usual!
The Gingerbread Capitol City will be returning for the 2020 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays! This annual tradition features a patriotic display of United States landmarks — all in gingerbread!

Typically, this can be found in the American Adventure, but not this year! This year, you’ll be able to find gingerbread recreations of the United States Capitol Building, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and a 5-foot tall Washington Monument in the World Showplace instead!

Does this mean the American Pavilion and the American Adventure are closed?
