We’ve been back in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to eat Ronto Wraps, ride Rise of the Resistance, and wave to Chewbacca and our other galactic friends.
Although heading back to Disney World has been quite the adventure itself, the newest Star Wars book will take fans to a galaxy far, far away in a time WAY before the stories that we know and love.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The High Republic: A Test of Courage will have a connection between one of its primary characters and another hero from the 2015 Star Wars comics brought to life by Marvel.
The novelist Justina Ireland stated during the Disney-Lucasfilm Publishing panel at Comic-Con at Home that the lineage behind fan-favorite Sana Starros will be revealed. Since the story takes place centuries before Star Wars: A New Hope, Starros won’t be in The High Republic book herself
However, her “great, great, many-times-great ancestor” will be in it, but Ireland has said that “there won’t be a direct relation there because genetics are murky in the Star Wars galaxy.”The High Republic: A Test of Courage will be following Avon Starros, who is one of the co-leads in the new book.
Although Sana Starros is a “ruthless scoundrel,” her ancestor will be pretty different. Ireland has revealed that “Avon is a 12-year-old girl, she has been sent to the edge of the galaxy by her mother who’s a republic senator because she’s just trouble. She is a scientist and the only things she wants to know are the answers to the questions that drive her. So, ‘How does the Force work, from a scientific perspective?’ That might be something a scientist would want to know. ‘What happens if you take a khyber crystal out of a lightsaber, what does that look like?’”
The High Republic: A Test of Courage will make its way to the shelves and online in January 2021. And, Star Wars fans will also be happy to read The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that upcoming spring as well! Author Amy Ratcliffe’s book will be filled with artwork, photos, and more that will take guests behind the scenes of Galaxy Edge’s development!
