Now that Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom have officially reopened to guests, our team headed out to see what it’s like to spend a day in the parks!
And, since a lot of guests like to start their park day as early as possible, we wanted to see what time Disney transportation started running. Here’s what we found out!
Animal Kingdom opened its gates at 8AM today, followed by Magic Kingdom at 9AM. And according to the Cast Member we spoke with, all Monorail and ferryboat transportation to Magic Kingdom started at 8:30AM, 30 minutes prior to the park opening.
In fact, the walkways between Disney hotels and the Transportation and Ticket Center also remained closed until 8:30AM — the paths were blocked with a gate until the scheduled opening time!
And guests driving themselves to the parks can’t get in super early either. At Animal Kingdom, cars were held outside the parking lot until 7:40AM, 20 minutes before park opening, when guests were then allowed to begin parking.
These times are subject to change as the reopening progresses and could fluctuate based on the daily park hours. Keep an eye out for more coverage from reopening day at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!
