This morning, Disney World released information about which attractions, experiences, and entertainment guests will find in the parks upon reopening.
Among the other major news drops, Disney has also shared that guests will find some of their favorite Disney characters out and about — although the interactions will look different than they have in the past!
That’s right, just like the Stormtroopers that have made appearances in Disney Springs, guests will be able to experience characters in new and unique ways when the parks reopen.
So, where will guests spot characters in the reopened parks? Well, Disney has said that our friends will make surprise appearances that are mindful of social distancing — including special cavalcades down the Magic Kingdom parade route, characters sailing the waterways of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, processions along the World Showcase promenade at EPCOT, and motorcades on Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Hollywood Boulevard.
And Disney shared a few examples of fun ways we might see the characters in action! We could spot the fearless Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear, as we’re exploring Tomorrowland. Or we could run into Captain Jack Sparrow as we roam the Castillo del Morro on our way to Pirates of the Caribbean. We might even catch a glimpse of the royal Queen Anna and Elsa as we travel the World Showcase. And of course, members of the Resistance could be hiding out from the First Order throughout Black Spire Outpost!
So, while the character experiences will look different when the parks reopen, guests can look forward to surprise appearances and fun opportunities to see the characters in a unique fashion!
