Exploring the Stores of Hogsmeade in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando!

We talk a lot about Disney, but Universal Orlando has a pretty exciting theme park, too!

One of our favorite parts of any theme park is Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We love the world of Hogwarts, and the shops in Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure are a destination in and of themselves!

Let’s take a tour of all the stores in Hogsmeade in Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Hogsmeade

We’re touring the OG part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — it’s Hogsmeade!

Dervish and Banges

Dervish and Banges is kind of a catch-all for wizarding supplies. You’ll be able to pick up magical tools like Sneakoscopes, Quidditch gear like your very own broom, Hogwarts robes and stationery, and more.

This shop is also the place you’ll want to keep an eye out for The Monster Book of Monsters. It’s caged up, but it still might try to bite you!

Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods

You can swing by Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods to find more Hogwarts regalia plus authentic prop replicas like Death Eater masks.

The story here is that you can find all sorts of treasures that Hogwarts’ caretaker Filch seized.

Honeydukes

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ve probably heard of this store! Honeydukes is the wizarding sweets shop in Hogsmeade. It’s a pretty big deal in the books; all the Hogwarts students want to go!

You can find some iconic treats from the books and films here too. Snack on Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, Acid Pops, Exploding Bonbons, Cauldron Cakes, and (our favorite) Chocolate Frogs! And, yes, they do come with a trading card of a famous wizard.

Ollivanders

Perhaps the most popular store (because it’s an entertainment experience, too!) is Ollivanders. This is where witches and wizards go to get their wands, and one lucky member of the audience in each show gets to work with an Ollivander specialist to figure out which wand chooses them.

Owl Post

After Ollivanders, step into the Owl Post, to pick up your wand of choice. If you can’t tell which wand is choosing you, ask an employee of the shop for help! You can get your own original wand or grab a replica of one of the wands from the films!
