NEWS: Disney Channel EVP Nancy Kanter Announces She Will Be Leaving After Two Decades

The shepherd of a lot of people’s favorite Disney Channel and Disney Junior memories, Nancy Kanter, is leaving the Walt Disney Company after two decades of working at the television division.

The Executive Vice President for Content and Creative Strategy at Disney Channels Worldwide stated that she is looking forward to continuing to produce more family-friendly content in the future.

“There’s no question that the 19+ years I have spent at Disney Channel have been among the most productive and rewarding of my career,” Kanter said in her statement. “I could not be more proud of the content I’ve had a hand in creating and the teams I’ve been fortunate enough to lead”.

President and Chief Creative Officer for Disney Channels Worldwide Gary Marsh has begun formulating a plan for after Kanter transitions at the end of January 2021, according to Deadline.

During her time at Disney Channels Worldwide, Kanter spear-headed the development of several Disney Junior shows, such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First. She also helped create High School Musical: The Musical: The Series andSecret Society of Second Born Royals for Disney+.
