Even in tough times, the Disney Cruise Line Cast and Crew Members are still sprinkling pixie dust!
In times like these, it’s important to look out for each other. Disney has been doing their part with donations of food and flowers to support the local community. Disney Cruise Line also shared how their team is stepping up to create magic for those in need!
Disney Cruise Line sailings have been suspended since March 14th. During the closure, Cast and Crew Members have taken on a number of Disney VoluntEARS events to spread joy during these tough times.
And Disney Cruise Line just shared details about the awesome new volunteer project the team has undertaken! Crew Members onboard have partnered with several organizations, including the Foundation for Hospital Art and the Starlight Children’s Foundation, to put their creativity to good use! Crew Members have been painting multi-paneled murals inspired by classic Disney characters and movies.
Every completed piece of artwork will be donated to a hospital by the Foundation for Hospital Art. This will help the organization with its mission to use art to bring comfort and hope to people in healthcare facilities around the world.
But that’s not all the DCL Crew is doing to help! Members of the team have also donated their time to package and decorate greeting cards featuring Disney-inspired designs. The completed cards will be received by children in the Starlight Children’s Foundation network of medical facilities.
And don’t worry, Crew Members are following social distancing guidelines while volunteering! It’s great to see the Disney Cruise Line team is still creating magic even without guests onboard!
