‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season Has Been Cut Short Due to Production Halt

Grey’s Anatomy has been a staple on ABC for just over 15 years and has added popular terms as “McDreamy” and “McSteamy” to public lexicon.

Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy has been a consistent hit for ABC over it’s 15 years on air and has has multiple spin-offs like Station 19 and even inspired multiple international versions.

The 16th season is currently running on ABC, but due to production shut down, the season is being cut short. Originally, season 16 was supposed to be 25 episodes long, but now it will only be 21 episodes long. The final episode of the season will air on April 9th. Don’t worry this is’t the end for the gang at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Grey’s Anatomy has already been renewed for a 17th season!

During the shutdown, the production team even donated medical equipment normally used for the show to local hospitals.
