What to Do at Disney Springs if You Don’t Want to Eat or Shop

There are so many things to see and do when visiting Walt Disney World. But one place I always make time for is the World’s entertainment, shopping, and dining district, Disney Springs.

Disney Springs

With tons of shops and restaurants, I think it’s a great place to hang out at on arrival or departure day, especially since it doesn’t require a park ticket! But what if you’re not looking to eat or shop? Is Disney Springs still worth the visit?

Here are eight things you can do at Disney Springs if you aren’t looking to eat or shop.

1. Aerophile (formerly Characters in Flight)

Did you know that you can take to the skies in a hot air balloon at Disney Springs?  It’s called Aerophile officially, but many guests remember it as Characters in Flight. Aerophile is tethered, so you won’t go up, up, and away. But you will have views from 400 feet over Disney World.

This is very family-friendly (assuming no one is afraid of heights) and a unique way to see the World. Pricing is $15 per child and $20 per adult. but the experience is priceless! You can learn even more about Aerophile here.

2. NBA Experience

Looking to shoot a few hoops? Then lace up those kicks because Disney has recently opened the brand new NBA Experience at Disney Springs.

Here you can dunk, dribble, cheer on the fam, and so much more with thirteen b-ball-themed activities. Adults entry is $34 each and kids’ tickets are $29 each.

3. Amphicar at The BOATHOUSE

You can also travel in style with the vintage Amphicars at The BOATHOUSE. These cars will take you on a 20-minute guided tour on Lake Buena Vista. These amphibious vehicles can drive on land and float on the water, and with only a handful of these vehicles remaining in the (real) world, it’s a really unique way to experience Disney Springs.

The cost is $125 per car, and three to four people can fit in each vehicle. You’ll head to The BOATHOUSE to book your Amphicar ride!

4. See a Movie

You can also catch a flick at Disney Springs AMC Theatre. Hungry? You can even eat a meal while you watch a movie with AMC-Dine!

AMC Dine-In Theater

Catching a movie while on vacation at Walt Disney World might seem silly; you’re there for the parks and adventure, right? But with so much stimulation in the World, sometimes the relative cocoon and darkness of a movie theater might be just the break you need to keep adventuring!

5. Listen to Live Music

Disney Springs comes to life daily with live music. Not only are there typically live performers of all sorts sprinkled throughout the Springs, but House of Blue hosts some pretty incredible artists throughout the year as well.
