Replacing the previous “Laughing Stock Co.” improv show, “Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe” pits two pianists in a musical duel that mixes musical theater and improv.

We don’t know much about the storyline of the new show, which opens today at the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland, but Disney promises a blend of wild-west tunes as part of an old-fashioned Wild West showdown.

Visitors should expect a lot of audience participation, including song requests and singalongs. We also wouldn’t be surprised if a few western dueling tropes made their way onto the stage! Anyone for a few tumbleweeds with their piano music?
