A new featurette has been released in connection with the upcoming film Maleficent: Mistress of the Evil. The new featurette examines Maleficent as an icon, villain, and perhaps even misunderstood soul.

We hear from Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and other members of the cast in the featurette — and get some sneak peeks at the film!

In the film, being released on October 18, we learn Maleficent and Aurora’s relationship has flourished despite starting out of heartbreak and revenge. However, hatred between man and the fairies still exists. As Aurora plans her marriage to Prince Phillip, we may see the two worlds unite — until Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart on opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.
