Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Announces Series Finale After Seventh Season

Sad news for fans of ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”!  It was announced today that the longest-running Marvel television series will end next summer after its seventh season!

The show is currently airing season six on FRIDAYS at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Its season finale, a special two-hour episode, will run on Aug. 2.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson and recently named Disney Legend Ming Na Wen. Also in the cast are Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Jeff Ward.

Currently, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” ranks as ABC’s No. 1 program in Friday’s 8 p.m. hour.

Produced by ABC Studios, which is part of Disney Television Studios, and Marvel Television, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” was co-created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, who also serve as executive producers along with Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb.

The show’s final 13 episodes are scheduled to air in the summer of 2020.
