Celebrate the New Year with Three Dazzling Events at Disney's Contemporary Resort!

If you’re planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Walt Disney World, we have some exciting events to tell you about!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort will hold three returning events to celebrate the new year.

Disney Countdown to Midnight: A New Year’s Eve Celebration

Live music, dancing, and fabulous food will be components of this seasonal soiree, taking place in the Contemporary’s Fantasia Ballroom. Guests will dance the night away while an interactive DJ and the New Year’s Eve Bash Band play fan-favorite tunes for all to enjoy.

Guests can expect “a stunning display of culinary sorcery” as chefs prepare food inspired by a variety of Disney World restaurants, such as California Grill, Narcoossee’s, and Tiffins. Standouts on the menu include barbecue-spiced wild Florida shrimp and grits with cherrywood-smoked bacon, pan-seared sablefish with leek fondue and cassis red wine reduction. That sounds like a delicious way to ring in 2020!

The evening will end outside with a toast and viewing of Magic Kingdom’s firework spectacular. How magical, indeed!

Guests must be 21 and over to consume alcoholic beverages, and the party runs from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. The event costs $299 per guest (tax and gratuity included). Visit the Walt Disney World event page to book a reservation.

Disney Ink & Paint Club

The Disney Ink & Paint Club offers a VIP lounge experience that may be added as an upgrade to the Contemporary Resort’s Disney Countdown to Midnight.

The themed lounge will harken back to the bygone era when Disney’s animation legends lit up the screen. You’ll spot some iconic characters, such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse. They’ll be glad to stop for a quick photo!

A pianist will play throughout the evening as guests snack and sumptuous cuisine from several action stations. Guests 21 and over will enjoy cocktails, cordials, and champagne, as well. Desserts will be available for all to enjoy during the fireworks.

Disney Ink & Paint Club is ONLY available as an upgrade to Disney Countdown to Midnight. The total ticket price is $499 per guest, including tax and gratuity. Visit the Walt Disney World website to book a reservation.

Pixar Party: A New Year’s Celebration

Pixar Party: A New Year’s Celebration will take place a Disney’s Contemporary Resort Convention Center –Second Level. Sarge himself will welcome families and kids of all ages to enjoy areas based on Up, Toy Story, and more! You’ll get to meet your favorite Pixar characters, such as Joy, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Incredible, and so many others!

Kiddos will enjoy face painting and Boot Camp with Sarge, while Radio Disney tunes play in the background.

All guests will enjoy a buffet dinner (see the full menu here), and later in the evening, everyone can head outside to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The party runs from 8 p.m. – midnight.
