Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort is smack dab in the middle of the two theme parks and the three on-site hotels. It’s filled with colorful shops and restaurants, and, in the evening, with quality music from live artists performing all along the promenade. Great Hidden Mickeys can be found here, too! I highlight a few of them below.

Let’s begin inside the huge World of Disney store. Murals with bubbles are high on the walls of a room near the end of the store closest to the parks. One mural on the right side of the room has three bubbles that form a small classic Mickey tilted to the left. Find it in the middle of the mural, just to the middle right of a white plate floating in the air over the middle of a brown washtub. (Thanks to Josh and Alyssa and Melody Hadeen, and Kim Bacon).

Check out this cool image in the Ridemakerz store. A red, white, and black classic Hidden Mickey (with stylized white “R” and red “Z” letters on the “head” and each “ear” of the Mickey) is on the back middle of a silver metal wheel with spokes. Find this wheel perched high atop a display of small model cars at the front of the store. (Thanks to Bobby Naus).

At the left side of the Rainforest Café sign, a classic Hidden Mickey, tilted to the left, is in the middle of the circle bumps on the green lizard’s neck. This image is similar to the ones on the Rainforest Cafe signs at Walt Disney World.

At the entrance to Downtown Disney from Disneyland Hotel, tile paintings created by children are posted along the right side of the walkway across from the ESPN Zone store. Small classic Hidden Mickeys can usually be found in the paintings. This artwork is created to raise funds for a Children’s Hospital. (Note: these paintings are changed periodically). (Thanks to Kim Bacon, and Sherrie Cotton).

In the World of Disney store, some of the round merchandise bins have classic Mickeys encircling the top and classic Mickey-shaped feet. These bins are showing up in various stores in Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
