Disney Pic of the Week: France

Photographic Innoventions by Scott Thomas

I am substituting for Barrie this week who found herself without access to the Internet where she is staying in Florida before coming to Walt Disney World later this week. Barrie will owe me big time for this. 😉

France, the country, brings thoughts of romance, Paris, the Eiffel Tower, French cuisine and fabulous breads and pastries. The France pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase embodies all those thoughts and feelings. Here you can meet Beauty and the Beast and ask them about their tale as old as time. Walk among Paris-styled streets and cafes. See the Eiffel Tower. Eat at the award winning Chefs de France restaurant where you might see a Little Chef at your table or dine upstairs in the elegant Bistro de Paris restaurant. Ah, and my favorite, Boulangerie Paitisserie, where you can enjoy fresh French pastries and breads.

A couple of years back, I found myself photographing around World Showcase past sunset and the photos I was taking showed a beautiful blue sky. Little did I know at the time I had stumbled upon the “Blue Hour”. Felt it a fitting color and time for France.
