Pre-MouseFest Day 1

And so it begins.

Thursday Evening 12/4

I’m sitting in BWI waiting to board my SW flight to Orlando. The flight is really full, only a handful of empty seats. I really like that SW has enchanced their waiting area with big comfy chairs and lots of electric outlets. Right now my phone is charging and my laptop is plugged in.

Each year when MouseFest begins, I wonder what it will hold in store for me. This year I am fortunate to be combing several opportunities with MouseFest actvities. I’ll be hitting the ground running, as they say. With lots of plans before I head to the Port on Sunday.

Tonight I’ll be in the Dolphin. I really enjoy the resort, plus it has one of my favortite places for breakfast, FRESH Market. It’s an all you can eat with foods made fresh to order. If you are into organic juices, it features several of those. My favorites are the made to order omlets and applewood smoked bacon. Oh, and did I mention they serve Starbucks coffee?

Friday Morning, 12/5

First, Happy Birthday Walt!!! Thank you for all the magic you have given so many!

I woke up bright and early to catch up on mail and get ready for the first meeting of the day. I must have been upgraded at check in because I have a huge room with an awesome view. I just got my luggage in the room last night when the Fireworks were going off in the Magic Kingdom. How cool!!! Plus the room is huge. Too bad I am only here one night!

I had to go to the lobby and get some photographs of the magnificant tree.

Plus there is a neat Holiday Tropical backdrop for a super photo op just off the lobby!

Breakfast at Fresh was awesome as always. Hello to Server Debra!

I was able to get a one hour late checkout so I’ll leave here at noon. I will head over to the Beach Club Villas. They will become my home away from home for pre and post MouseFest cruise accommodations.

This afternoon, I will meet up with Disney Vacation Club Representatives to start a day and a half “Hard Hat” tour of the new resorts. I am very excited and can’t wait to see all the progress. No photos are allowed inside the “hard hat” areas however that will just give my eyes more time to focus on everything.

Gotta sign off now. Till later.

Deb
