Construction Update: Magic Kingdom Prepares for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

The Magic Kingdom has a big anniversary coming up in 2021 (50 years!). You can find signs of the park preparing for the special event all over. Some of the work includes new rides, some is maintenance, and some is to improve the guest experience.

Recent visitors to Magic Kingdom will have noticed that the moat around Cinderella Castle has been drained. You can see there’s work being done near the Liberty Square area.
