--Tuesday, April 22, is Earth Day, and Disney has released more details about its annual celebration of the ecology-minded holiday:

-- At Disney's Animal Kingdom, they will celebrate April 22 with a "Party for the Planet." As you enter the park, stop by a display in the main entrance area to see wildlife-friendly backyard habitats and pick up a Party for the Planet postcard. At Rafiki's Planet Watch, families can play a supermarket game and learn how purchases can make a big difference for wildlife and wild places. They can also discover new ways to spend time in nature, talk to cast members who work on conservation projects around the world, participate in a variety of nature activities, and find out more about the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. There will also be face painters and caricature artists. Special merchandise will be available throughout Animal Kingdom, and a safari-costumed Duffy the Disney Bear will be sold through April 30. One dollar from each sale will be donated to the National Park Foundation through Disney's Worldwide Conservation Fund to celebrate the new Disneynature film, "Bears."

James Arnold Taylor will return to Star Wars Weekends 2014 as the event's official celebrity host. Taylor, a Star Wars Weekends fan favorite, is the voice of hundreds of animated characters, including Obi-Wan Kenobi on "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." The theme for this year's event is "Join the Rebellion."

For the first time in the event's history, Mark Hamill, the actor who brought Luke Skywalker to life in the original Star Wars films, will appear at this year's Star Wars Weekends. Hamill will be one of the celebrity guests for Weekend IV, June 6-8, 2014. Fans can see him in the daily "Legends of the Force" Star Wars-themed motorcade and in a featured talk show. Hamill's appearances will most likely be a very popular gathering place for members of the Empire and the Rebellion, so be sure to arrive early. More details about the event will be announced soon.
