What's New?

Disney MaxPass is now available at the Disneyland Resort. Guests with the MaxPass feature on their park tickets can make digital Fastpass selections using the Disneyland app on their phones. Unlimited PhotoPass downloads, including attraction and character dining photos, are another feature of MaxPass.

Fantasmic! has returned to Disneyland. New scenes include Aladdin and Jasmine on their flying carpet, Captain Jack Sparrow at the helm of a pirate ship, and appearances by characters from "The Lion King", "Finding Nemo", and "Tangled."

Rivers of America attractions have re-opened. The Disneyland Railroad, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, have re-opened with new scenes and effects.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is now open in Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure.

New 'Disney Junior Dance Party!' - The new show, featuring characters and music from "Mickey and the Roadster Racers," as well as "Doc McStuffins," "Sofia the First" and "The Lion Guard" is performed multiple times per day in the Disney Theater in Disney California Adventure.

Red Rose Taverne, with decor and menu items inspired by the upcoming Beauty and the Beast movie, is open in the Village Haus location in Fantasyland.

Star Wars Offerings in Tomorrowland

  • Star Wars Launch Bay - Meet some favorite Star Wars characters, get a closer look at props and costumes from the movies, or play some of the latest games, including Disney Infinity 3.0.
  • Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple - Kids can pre-register to participate in this new Jedi training experience which includes characters and a new villain from Star Wars Rebels.
  • In the Tomorrowland Theater, Path of the Jedi is a collection of clips from the Star Wars movies which tell the story of Luke Skywalker.

 

What's Coming?

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort returns November 10-January 7. The celebration includes seasonal favorites like the A Christmas Fantasy parade, Believe...in Holiday Magic fireworks at Disneyland and Festival of Holidays and World of Color - Season of Light at Disney California Adventure.

A new scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi is coming to Star Tours - The Adventures Continue at Disneyland starting on November 17. The epic battle will take place on the planet of Crait.

Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, an immersive hyper-reality experience, opens in Downtown Disney on January 5.

Pixar Fest will be a limited time celebration at the Disneyland Resort starting on April 13, 2018. The celebration includes the new Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show at Disneyland. During Pixar Fest the Paint the Night parade will move to Disney California Adventure while the Pixar Play Parade moves to Disneyland.

Pixar Pier opens at Disney California Adventure in Summer, 2018, transforming the current Paradise Pier area into four new neighborhoods inspired by beloved Pixar stories. The first new neighborhood, based on "The Incredibles", will feature the Incredicoaster, a permanent transformation of the California Screamin' attraction. Additional neighborhoods inspired by "Toy Story", "Inside Out", and other Pixar stories will open at a later date.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.

A new hotel is coming to the Disneyland Resort in 2021. The new 700-room hotel at the west end of the Downtown Disney district will include a dedicated Disneyland Monorail platform inside and an upper-level restaurant with views of the Disneyland fireworks.
