This is a must-do for our family each summer. Not only is the food consistently good, you get to relax and eat in some air conditioning! This last trip they noticed my DH's birthday button, and gave all of us cupcakes. 🙂 We will be back for sure.

We always eat at Cape May because we love seafood and we have also had great service. We did enjoy eating our dinner, but we were ill afterwards. My DD, who doesn't eat seafood, was fine. Honestly, I am really disappointed. I expect to pay more for a Disney experience, but I expect the experience to also be better than other non-Disney locations. I know that seafood needs to managed carefully to stay good, but this restaurant can definitely do better.

Pros:

Great selection and atmosphere

We love this character breakfast. The food is outstanding and the character interaction is fantastic. The characters, in particular, the Mad Hatter is so much fun. We did miss the lobster eggs benedict, which was replaced with a standard eggs benedict.

Pros:

Everything!

We ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My DH had the seafood curry, my DD had a chicken lo mein dish, and I had a Thai seafood/chicken special dish. The food was excellent, in particular, my Thai dish was the standout dish in our party. The portions were also very large. My DD substituted wonton soup for dessert, which she enjoyed. I had the cheese wontons and my DH the mango pie. Both were delicious. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Pros:

delicious food and good service

We always love this character meal. The character interaction is very good and the restaurant is kind of fun as it rotates during your meal. We always love the fresh salad and veggies that are grown in The Land. The steak was also really really well done and delicious. The cobble dessert is just okay and fish dish was not as tasty as the dish they had at the past. The service was also very good.

Pros:

Great character interaction and great salad

Review of Plaza Restaurant

On my last day at WDW, 08-26-15, and running out of my Bay Lake Tower villa with no breakfast to meet former AllEars Blogger Jack Spence, I found myself very, very hungry in the Magic Kingdom. I knew I'd never make it back to the Contempo Cafe for breakfast, so where was I going to have "Lunch for Breakfast?" Casey's Corner or The Plaza. Having a "Tables In Wonderland" card, it was a toss up. I walked over to The Plaza right after it opened at 11 AM and asked how long it would take to get a table for myself. 15-20 minutes was the CM's reply. Too long I thought. After some hemming and hawing and a cold, sugary soda to restore brain function I returned to The Plaza and told the CM I accepted her previous offer. No more than five (5) minutes went by before the restaurant pager came to life. I was seated in the round, glass walled Conservatory room for the first time ever. What a wonderful place to sit! It was cozy and airy at the same time while being aea. The Plaza even had a little bit of entertainment! The "Mayor of Main Street U.S.A." and his buddies were there to entertain us for a few minutes. They gave out Mickey Stickers to the kids when they were done.

Once seated, being a Reuben Maven, I ordered the Grilled Reuben with Broccoli Slaw and Unsweetened Iced Tea for "Lunchfast." My Reuben was wonderful! Absolutely scrumptious! The Corned Beef, and Sauerkraut were spot on, the Marble Rye was grilled to perfection. Disney done good! As it was my last park day, I splurged and had Desert (I rarely, if ever, order or eat desert). I chose the Brownie Sundae. I was not disappointed. The brownies were very rich, the Hot Fudge and Ice Cream were perfect.

As I waited for my check, a Cast Member carrying an iPad came to my table. She was amazed I finished the sundae by myself! She said she and her 3 grand-kids split the Banana Split which is the same size as the Brownie Sundae and have some left over. And gobbling that sundae up after eating my Grilled Reuben blew her mind! She told me she wished Disney had a "Wall of Fame" in the restaurant for people who do what I did - eat a sandwich with side and a sundae by themselves (which really wasn't a big deal in my opinion). The CM's attention to me was icing on the cake!

Try The Plaza - I hope you enjoy it! It's a great alternative to Magic Kingdom Counter Service restaurants! For just a little more money, you can eat great food in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Being Table Service means you don't have to balance your meal and beverage while you search for a place to sit as you would with Casey's Corner. You can sit comfortably and have your food and drink brought to you.

I will definitely return to The Plaza!!

Review of Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Resort)

We've been to Walt Disney World dozens of times and this hotel was our worst experience by far. We arrived with a large dance group at the end of June. We arrived at the resort at 10:00am not expecting a room immediately. What we didn't expect was to not get one until 6:00pm. When we got the room it wasn't very clean. There was trash still in the trash barrels and it smelled like housekeeping simply made the bed and sprayed 5 cans of Lysol in there.

On our first morning there, I noticed that someone had spilled some Cheerios on the stairs. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and those Cheerios were still there the day we left. Also, when walking to the food court in the morning I walked through the quiet pool area and it was littered with used towels, empty pizza boxes, soda and beer bottles, etc. from the night before. I partially blame the slobs that left all of that there, but I also blame the staff for not cleaning it up either.

I've never written a negative review for anything Disney related prior to this, but this was not acceptable by Disney standards. After our stay at Caribbean Beach we stayed for 6 nights at Bay Lake Tower and it was great.

Pros:

Theming

Cons:

Size/Cleanliness/Customer Service

BLT is our home resort and we love it. We were there over the 4th of July and had a Magic Kingdom view. I think just that night made the price worth it. Fireworks were amazing.

Resort is kept spotless and the service is great. We had stayed a couple days prior at Caribbean Beach and the difference was night and day.

We ate here at the end of June celebrating my daughter's birthday with a large group from her dance team that was at Disney performing. Most of the girls were in the 12-13 age group and obviously too cool for this...until they all had a blast and loved the food.

The show is corny and predictable...but hysterical. The food is basic, but done well. As is most of cases at Disney you are paying for the show and atmosphere so don't expect gourmet dining.

Pros:

Food/Show
