We stopped for drinks in the heat before fantasmic. I ordered 3 waters, a large sprite and a berry lemonade. This trip the waters seem small but it could be me thinking last year they were the larger size. The at the size of a small coffee but free so it's still nice. Sprites sprite nothing to say there. The berry lemonade was $9.75, and had alcohol in it and the cm made us aware of it. We waited quite a bit for drinks. People that ordered food after us got the orders and we only had drinks. The seating was shaded and the table was large enough for 5 of us. Maybe next time we'll try food. It smelled good

Pros:

seating

Cons:

almost$10 for an alcoholic drink

We had the dp. There were 5 Disney "adults". One was 14. The appetizer was removed from the fantastic package. The waiter tried to da they replaced it with an alcoholic beverage which wasn't true, that's offered with all meals this year. We all ordered steak, and everyone loved it as always. We ordered two calamari apps for the table pop. It was good but I liked the old dipping sauces better, probably won't get it again. The bread and olive il for dipping was yummy and our server replenished them. I'm not a fan of the dessert sampler but at that point I was beyond stuffed. The seats for fantasmic were in Scar on the aisle next to the Mickey section pretty close to center a little left at best. We'll do it again next year. This is our third dinner of the trip and so far the best.

Pros:

fantasmic package,atmosphere

Cons:

changed whats in fantasmic package

we got the pongo lumpia and the night blossom, both were great. the lumpia was warm and was exactly what i expected from the description. cream cheese and pineapple. just beware that everything will come out the other end if you don't keep the wrapper on! i wasn't sure what to expect from the night blossom, i hate super sweet drinks. it was soooo good! it had a good balance of sweet and tart, and the boba balls are perfect. we all liked it! it was worth the $6. highly recommend trying both, at least once!

Review of Beach Club Villas (Disney Vacation Club)

Just returned from a 9 day stay at the Beach Club Villas with my family. Overall it was very good. This was out first time staying there. We had a two-bedroom Villa on the first floor. Overall it was very good. The room was clean, and had recently been redone. The resort itself was also nice, very clean, and well run. The marketplace was only a short walk away in the main building, and the restaurants and bars a within a very reasonable walk as well. The Ale and Compass lounge/restaurant at the Yacht Club was our favorite. The best features of the resort are the pool and location to Epcot. No more than a five minute walk to the world showcase!

Now for the not so good. The resort was very low key, and by this I mean the atmosphere was very dull. The music was even worse. It was this weird meandering guitar music mix one might hear in a spa or health club. It just didn't seem to have the Disney "magic" like the Grand Floridian or Boardwalk seem to have. We used DVC points, and didn't feel it was ultimately worth the higher point value to stay here.

Pros:

Location and Pool.

Cons:

very low-key vibe, and boring music

We had dinner here twice during our stay at the next-door Beach Club Villas, and it was easily the best restaurant in the Yacht/Beach Club complex. I would say it was even better than the equally good, but ultra-price Steakhouse. We were seated with no/minimal wait. The food was excellent with lots of vegetarian options. Drinks were tasty as well. Decor, not surprisingly, was very nautical-modern, and worked beautifully. Prices were very reasonable (though we have tables in wonderland, which always helps!). We enjoyed it, and would return in a heartbeat!

Pros:

Location, cuisine, atmosphere

Cons:

none

Review of Tony's Town Square Lunch/Dinner

It's been so long since I've visited Tony's, I didn't realize liquor is now served! Because reviews from various sources have been so negative, it hasn't even been a consideration when making ADRs. However, my wife was scooter-bound this trip, so to ensure a comfortable viewing position for the parade, I booked the Festival of Fantasy Dining package. The wait service was exceptional, as was the food; I think the pictures need updating. The paste e fagioli was better than Via Napoli's, and didn't look anything like what's currently shown on the AllEars menu page. We had the shrimp with risotto, and the gnocchi with shrimp; both dishes were fabulous. And then there was the dessert course! $54 for a three course dinner is very reasonable, and we had front row viewing positions in the flagpole circle. I'm glad we did this, and we may certainly return, just for the food (and perhaps a libation or two).

Pros:

The food and service are well above average.

Cons:

The wait for a table can be excruciating.

Nice spot to sit and relax while having a beer and a pretzel. Limited menu but there’s nice seating outside and it’s a modern feel to it like a brewpub.

Pros:

Beer, nice place to sit

Cons:

Not a lot of choices

Review of The Edison

Had drinks a few weeks ago, early 5/18, and stayed for the music. Overall it was good. I went in cautiously optimistic, having heard it had a vintage vibe, and dancing. The good: the drinks were excellent (nice and strong), and the atmosphere was very industrial chic. Not my favorite, but it works. Service was good. The band began playing around 9:30, and started off great. Mixing classic swinging tunes, with post-modern jukebox stuff. As the night went on though it went downhill. I was hoping very much to dance, as I'm an avid social dancer, but no one seemed up to it at first. I finally got a hostess to dance with me, who knew how to follow - thank goodness! I was also able to coax one or two ladies to dance, but as I said, as the night went on the music got worse, just louder, and more and more raucous, and less swinging. By midnight, I couldn't take anymore and left. They've got a good thing going, but seem to cater to the drunk "bump and grind" type crowd, rather then those who'd actually like to dance. Also the floor was terrible; ultra-hard concrete! Overall I guess, I'd recommend it, but with some reservations. This place could be GREAT, but they definitely have some work to do.

Pros:

great drinks, atmosphere

Cons:

clientele, price

Review of Maria and Enzo's Ristorante

We had dinner here towards the end of our stay, earlier this month (5/18). It was excellent. Being a vintage enthusiast, I was very much looking forward to dining here, and it did not disappoint. We did not, have a reservation, but were seated almost immediately. The restaurant itself is lovely, it really has the look of a 1930s airline terminal - very streamline-moderne! The background music as well was very appropriate, a mix of period, and more contemporary Jazz. Drinks and food were wonderful, I had pasta, and a salad, and an Italian twist on a Manhattan (which was superb). Service was excellent as well: Attentive, but never overly so. Price wise, it was what one would expect for Disney, but we had tables in wonderland, which certainly helps. The only negative, and this isn't so much the restaurants fault, but people were dressed like they just rolled out of bed, or came from the gym! It would be nice if they had some kind of a dress code. In any case, I would happily return, and very much recommend!

Pros:

atmosphere, cuisine, staff

Cons:

none!

Review of Victoria and Albert's

My wife and I were able to dine at Victoria and Albert's for our college graduation celebration. Going into it we were both a bit nervous and apprehensive about whether or not we would be able to enjoy such refined foods. We had absolutely nothing to worry about! Our servers were Danny and James and they took time to ensure that we were well informed on every dish and made the evening so wonderful. Israel (the hotel Maitre D) came by and welcomed us and ensured that we were satisfied throughout the entire experience. I was a bit concerned that there would be a stuffy feeling in the restaurant due to the exclusivity of it, but it was very comfortable and casual. Each course that came seemed to be better than the previous. We chose to do the 7 course meal due to the options available. Our favorite dish was the "Loup de Mer with Green Tomatoes and Dill Crema" This fish was absolutely outstanding and the cucumber dill relish on top was a perfect compliment. My wife's least favorite dish was the quail and she was offered a different option to which she passed since we both went in realizing that we may not enjoy all of the dishes. I highly recommend the coffee service just for the "show" that comes along with it. My wife and I hope to be able to return again and again to Victoria and Albert's in the future to see what exquisite dishes Chef Hunnel will come up with next.

Pros:

Amazing Flavors, knowledgable staff, experience

Cons:

Nothing else will ever compare
