While we did find the food we ate to be good, we were disappointed in the limited selection. Also, we went down to buy breakfast at 6:30 one morning since park opening was at 7. However, they didn't open until 7. I was surprised that there was no where in the Hotel to get breakfast that morning before park opening. Very inconvenient. I had been expecting more of a restaurant like Roaring Fork at the Wilderness Lodge. This place is even more limited. You order hot entrees (3-5 choices per meal) from the cashier and they bring it to your table. Not quite up to par in my opinion. Cashiers were all very friendly and accommodating, though.

Had dinner at the Kona Café on 12/9/16. The Kona Café is my favorite restaurant anywhere. This is the 1st time I would rate it less than a 10. The food was great as always, dessert perfect. the Pressed Pot of coffee has changed to Jofferys coffee from 100% Kona. So now you pay more for coffee much less quality. Kona blend is a better cup of coffee. This being said I will be back because it is still the Kona Café.

Went to Hoop de Doo Revue on 12/5/16. Show was great as always. Went with 2 couple who have never seen the show before. They loved it. Loved the food too. It being Christmas they added Christmas songs, which made the show different for a 6th time it was great.

Went Bass Fishing on 12/7/16 from the Grand Floridian. This was my 6th and Best trip. Our Guide Carrie was excellent. We were 5 adults, 2 being women who never caught a fish. Carrie made them very comfortable and took the time to make sure they caught fish. The result: Gary caught 3, Vanessa 3, Steve 4, Nicole 5 and Frank (yours truly) caught 9. That's 24 bass for 2 hours of fishing. A great day by any ones standards. If you book a trip ask for Carrie and make sure you tip your guide.
Pros:
Great time had by all, caught fishCons:

Had breakfast at the Trattoria al Forno on 12/6/2016. Every one of the 4 of us had something different and all of us were happy. My wife had a the Breakfast Pizza and she said it was excellent. The pressed pot of coffee was very good. This change was a step up unlike the pressed pot at the Kona café.

My wife and I recently stayed here, 12/2 to12/10. As DVC members, this is our home resort and the first time staying here. We have stayed at Bay Lake Towers, The Boardwalk and Beach Club, all which were very nice.
This resort is nice and quiet. We had no problems with the bus transportation.
On our 3rd day there, upon returning to our room, I noticed I had lost my Magic Band. I went to the Registration Desk at 11:30 pm and explained the problem to Wendy, the night receptionist. She asked what color did I want and replaced it for me. Thank you Wendy!!
My wife and I both agree that we would stay there again.

Love this resorts location to parks. Nice Cast Members. Good price! Fewer children at this resort. When you are visiting Disney without children, this is nice. We made a request that was granted! Thank you! Food is just average(was better a few years back). If we are able to visit next year, more than likely we will be staying here!
Pros:
Moderate Price,Helpful Cast Members, Good Location,Not so many children!Cons:

This was our second stay in the DVC Studios. The location of our room this time was much nicer—only steps away from the new Oasis pool, in fact. Everything was properly stocked and clean. The beds are very comfortable, even the Murphy bed, which features an adorable mural of Lilo & Stitch (sacked out on a hammock on the beach—Stitch is drooling) and has its own little light. The Oasis pool made me want to do absolutely nothing else, including visit the parks. The lounges and other furnishings were dangerously comfy, there were shaded areas available, and relaxing Hawaiian music is piped in. You seriously feel like you are on an island somewhere. The Oasis pool has its own bar and grill but not activities, keeping it quiet as opposed to the noisy offerings at the Lava pool in the afternoons. I seriously could have spent my entire visit at the Oasis pool and in fact am planning to visit again to skip the parks and sit at the pool instead. We enjoyed our customary “monorail†shopping trip and were treated to seeing the gingerbread cottage in the Grand Floridian being assembled, not to mention the gingerbread samples they were giving out along with the talk about how it’s all done. I am disappointed, however, that it took so long to get into our room. I indicated our arrival time and arrived after it but we still had to wait several hours to get into our room. In addition, they would not do us the courtesy of allowing us to stay one additional hour before checking out. I just don’t understand what takes so long to turn over a room when you know a guest is waiting for it, in a building where not all the rooms get housekeeping every day and they by all appearances enforce the 11 am check out. Some flexibility in these areas would go a long way towards this guest’s satisfaction and as a long-time DVC member. I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request.
