Our four year old boy was here for two and a half hours while my husband and I toured F&WF at EPCOT one evening.
Check in was very easy. Phone numbers for both myself and a non traveling family member were asked for in case of an emergency.
My son was given choice of about 6 dinner options as well as drink choices (pizza and grapes with milk and water). Dinner times were either 6:30pm or 8:00pm (we chose the 6:30pm) and a snack was provided during the other dinner time for him.
He was VERY excited to play with toys. This was our 4th day of vacation and since we didn't bring much to play with, he really enjoyed himself here. They have video games, standard toys, puzzles, coloring, bean bags, movies playing and books.
We had a voucher that we used for 15% off services and wish we would have left him longer. For what we paid for the time AND to have it include dinner, it was a total bargain.

Review of Yachtsman Steakhouse

Delicious steak, innovative take on "shrimp cocktail" for an appetizer. The desserts here are incredible- I tried the fresh sorbet- a trio of pear, apple, and canteloupe with a coconut tuile. It was just right, and our server surprised us with champagne and a mini dessert plate to celebrate our anniversary.

The food is great, but plan to set aside several hours for this meal. We enjoy dining at a leisurely pace but found that the tempo of our dinner exceeded even that. In total it took 2 1/2 hours for two adults to dine. Service was OK, not as attentive as we may have hoped but she was very kind.

Pros:

Delicious, innovative food

Cons:

Pace of dining experience

Review of Teppan Edo - Japan

We had lunch at Teppan Edo and were so happy with our choice! Everyone here is amazingly gracious and welcoming. Our servers Yui and Yo and our chef Ken were all awesome. The food was delicious and being on the DDP we tried appetizers (tempura and the garden salad with ginger dressing), entrees (filet and chicken & shrimp), and dessert (chocolate ginger cake). All were fabulous and the show was entertaining.

The best part though was when our server saw that my husband and I had an anniversary celebration button and added a candle to our cake before telling me to close my eyes and handing my husband an origami heart ring to place on my finger. It was so sweet and a really special touch.

The food is really good, but the service puts this place over the top.

Pros:

Service, Chocolate Ginger Cake!

Review of Boardwalk Inn (Deluxe Resort)

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Boardwalk this October and loved it! We were ushered by a CM to the front desk to check in and our room was immediately available even though we were there well in advance of check in time.

Our room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the Eiffel Tower in Epcot, which gave us a beautiful view of Illuminations from our balcony. The theme of the hotel is gorgeous- its like stepping back in time. The pools are great- the quiet pool is serene and true to its name, very quiet and secluded. The main pool is so much fun! There is a full service bar and a water slide that's as much fun for adults as it is for children.

The location can't be beat- 10 minutes walking to Epcot and a short boat ride to HS. We were happy with the dining options at the Boardwalk as well- we tried Flying Fish for dinner, and Kouzzina and the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast.

The only "con" would be that although the theme of the resort is lovely, the rooms don't feel very luxe for this being a deluxe resort, particularly the bathroom area which was small and very dimly lit. Having stayed at other Disney deluxe resorts however, I find this to be somewhat par for the course. Mousekeeping was great and in addition to keeping the room clean and fresh created and adorable towel clown creation for us.

Overall, we loved it and will definitely give consideration to staying here again.

Location, theme, pool

Review of Restaurant Marrakesh - Lunch/Dinner

Can you say LOUD??? I was so excited to try this restaurant. I regularly eat many of the foods at home that are served here. We arrived on time but had about a 15-minute wait. The hostesses seemed very disorganized. The first time they went to seat us, they turned us back around saying the table wasn’t ready. After another 5 minute wait, we were seated. The belly dancer and musicians were playing. I couldn’t talk to my daughter due to the noise level. We ended up texting each other throughout the meal so we could just communicate. Our food arrived rather quickly. I ordered the Couscous M-Rouzia, which is basically Moroccan pot roast. It was tasty but no vegetables. The meal felt incomplete and out of balance. My daughter ordered the Chicken Kebabs. The chicken was overcooked and tough and the vegetables were cold. The noise level was still unacceptable throughout the whole meal. This was not a pleasant experience. What a disappointment.

Pros:

Beautiful setting

Review of Boatwright's Dining Hall Dinner

What a wonderful surprise! During all of our stays at POFQ, we never tried Boatwright’s. This past visit, I wanted to try it and check it off my “to-do” list. We had an ADR for the first night of our visit. Usually, we are still out of sorts from traveling so our dinner doesn’t normally taste that great. Since we had low expectations of Boatwright’s, we booked it for our first dinner. I’m allergic to shellfish and my family members are not adventurous eaters if we didn’t like dinner, no big deal. We arrived early and were seated promptly. The waitress knew from our reservations that I was allergic and said she would bring over the chef. We discussed what I could and could not eat. I decided on the prime rib (mostly due to Allears’ reviews) and my daughter ordered the jambalaya. I know everything tastes better in WDW, but my prime rib was still the best I’ve had in years. It was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. My non-adventurous eating daughter thought the jambalaya was tasty without being overwhelming spicy. Our server, Jennie was wonderful: friendly and attentive. I think we found a new first night tradition! If you want a nice quiet meal or a delicious prime rib, stop by Boatwright’s!

Pros:

Food

Cons:

none really; just a little out of the way

Review of Theme Park Photo Pass

Ordered photo pass 3 weeks before my trip and Disney mailed me a kit. When we arrived, we took it to MK photo shop got our photo pass plus. This is a great product. I did not want to carry a large camera around I already have my iPhone for photos. We had over 400 photos taken at all the parks, Chef mickey, rides and the boutique . I'm able to share them online via email and Facebook. Added borders and stickers with dates on photos I wanted to. It's nice I own those photos and they all look very professional. The only thing I think needs work is adding those special magic moments to photos. A few did them but they are all Tinker Bell.

Our family of 7 (2rooms) stayed at POR sep. 22-29. 4 adults 3 girls 4,5and7. Royal rooms. Free dining. I'll first say we have stayed at Animal kingdom and wilderness lodge. I was not sure how we would like POR but I love it the property is amazingly beautiful. The trees river grasses different plants and wildlife just beautiful. The buildings are great the pools, very clean. Food at the QS dining we used twice was good busy in the mornings. Took the boat to downtown disney nice, horse and carriage ride. We agreed we will stay here again. Busses came from 2 to 8 minutes of us getting to the stop. Just amazing we're planning next years at POR .. By the way my 5 year old grand daughter loved all the special details the room. Of my 4 Disneyworld trips this is by far our best the resort played a huge role in this.
