Went here twice on our recent visit to WDW. Had an awesome time. Park is clean and lots to do. I applaud the lifeguards for the great job they do!!! One of the days - twice they had to dive in. Great job keeping everyone safe! 🙂

Pros:

Lots to do, fun in the sun

Review of Disney After Hours - Magic Kingdom

We did not take part in the Disney After Hours as this is too costly. We were at Disney from Feb 14 to 26 and in that time frame there was only one night that disney offered Magic Hours to guests who paid a bundle to stay at the disney resorts. But they did offer 2 nights of this, which, if we wanted to pay over $100 dollars each (there was 8 of us) then would could do the parks for 3 hours. So much for enticing people to stay on property so that they can take advantage of extra magic hours. 🙁

Pros:

none

Cons:

too expensive

Buses to and from the parks are still very crowded. Some of the drivers like hitting the brake pedal a little too much and it makes for a very choppy ride. If you suffer from motion sickness then taking the buses might not be a good idea. On our recent visit in February we started using the Lyft service for this very reason as my daughter suffers from sever motion sickness. At Hollywood Studios the bus area is a nightmare. It is under construction and the area where you get the bus gets EXTREMLY Congested and there is no where to move. Whoever came up with this plan while the construction is on should be fired. Plain and simple. This area is an accident waiting to happen.

Pros:

Free

Cons:

Crowded buses, long wait times, Hollywood Studios Construction

Review of All Star Movies Resort (Value Resort)

Stayed here Feb 14 to 26 in the Love Bug Section. Room has had a total reno and has the laminate flooring which is much nicer than carpet. Cast members were all awesome and hats off to all those working in the food court for feeding the crowd with a smile. Buses are still an issue with the all stars but much better then when I stayed before. Because my daughter gets severe motion sickness we used the Lyft service to take us to and from the parks. The crowded buses and stop and start motion did not work well for her. The laundry rooms in this resort are a challenge. People put their laundry in then go off for a swim or to eat and are very tardy getting back to put in the dryer or even empty the dryer. Not enough washers and dryers for the number of guests that they pack into these resorts. The pool is okay. Rather boring compared to a moderate or deluxe. The positive is that it is close to blizzard beach so if you have a ticket for the water park you can zip over there for some fun. Other resort pools sometimes have pool activities (unless they have stopped since my last visit) I would recommend staying here if you have budget concerns. Clean and tidy and well kept.

Pros:

Close to Animal Kingdom & Blizzard Beach. Updated Rooms

Cons:

Laundry, Buses and Boring Pool

Review of Be Our Guest Dinner

Our party of 6 (all adults, one of whom was in a wheelchair) arrived at Be Our Guest for dinner just before our 7:25 reservation time on Monday, January 21st. When we checked in we were told that they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule. That estimate wasn’t particularly accurate--I didn’t receive a text that our table was ready until 7:50. It was chilly that evening--some of us were able to wait inside, but there wasn’t enough room for all of us, so the rest of us had to wait outside in the cold. Once we got our party together, we were led to a large round table in the Castle Gallery. I hadn’t been in this room before and what struck me was that it didn’t look all that special—I guess I expected to at least see white tablecloths in a Signature restaurant. Our server was quite pleasant and even brought samples of a couple of wines when one of the gentlemen in our party couldn’t decide on which red to order. Dinner here is a three-course prix fix—for $60, you choose one appetizer and one entrée and all guests receive a dessert trio. Our party started with either the French onion soup, lobster bisque or the escargot. I had the lobster bisque—it was all right, certainly not as good as Yachtsman’s and it could have been a bit warmer. Entrees selected by those at the table included pork tenderloin, filet mignon or seafood bouillabaisse. There was a bit of a mix up with the tenderloins—the same diner who sampled the red wines ordered the pork, but received the beef (or maybe it was vice versa). Regardless, his meal was delayed while the rest of us ate before our food got cold. I had the filet—nothing special, although it was done medium rare as ordered. There are frankly way better filets on property. For dessert, the trio consisted of an almond macaron, a dark chocolate truffle (very chocolatey) and a cute white chocolate Chip-themed cup filled with “the grey stuff”. This trio was pretty filling, with the almond macaron being the surprise hit of the table. Our tab for six, 4 of whom had a glass or two of wine, with our Tables in Wonderland discount, was $463.37. Kind of steep for a crowded, somewhat noisy and not-so-fancy restaurant. By comparison, three days later at Shula’s, the same dining party enjoyed perfectly cooked and served steaks and salmon, a couple of salad appetizers, shared side dishes, 2 bottles of wine and key lime pie for dessert. Cost was $479.88 with the Tables discount, less than $17 more than what we paid at Be Our Guest. Guess where we’ll be going again.

Pros:

The castle really is something to be seen

Cons:

Average food, OK service, not really a Signature dining experience

First time dining here with the family on 2/25/19. Our server was very attentive and funny. The staff let us walk outside to watch Happily Ever After fireworks, so we were not rushed at all. Overall good food and very clean restaurant. At least we did not pay $59+ per person at Be Our Guest.

Pros:

Great staff, clean, good comfort food.

Cons:

None really.

Not very good. We ordered the chicken and beef tacos, as well as the beef nachos. Food was served at just above room temperature. The dip for the nachos was cold. I loved this place when it was more of a burger bar, now it is just above a Taco Bell

Pros:

None

Cons:

Felt like an airport fast food chain.

Save your $$ or dining plan credits. This is not the restaurant it used to be! They have done away with everything we loved about this dining experience. I’ll list some of them, but just beware it HAS changed for the worse. No more rose shaped napkins, the luminary’s that the kids used to bring to the tables are gone, it’s price fixed at $60 for adults and $36 for kids no matter what you order, the awesome butter sauce on the steaks is gone as are the French fries, kids meals are nothing most kids would eat. I’ve ate at this restaurant 4 times prior, but now I have to say they will not see me again. The service is still great, but since the change to signature meal plan it’s a flop. I’m sure some people will love it, but most would agree the old meal plan was better.

Pros:

Service and atmosphere is still top notch.

Cons:

Food is average at best, price and kids offerings below par (this is Disney after all and kids are #1 customers)
