Braised Red Cabbage
2 pounds or 1 head shredded red cabbage
1 teaspoon caraway seed
2 teaspoons salt pinch ground cloves
2 ½ cups granulated sugar
3 cups white vinegar
Method of Preparation
- Place all of the ingredients in a large sauce pan.
- Stir together thoroughly.
- Bring to a boil.
- Then reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
