Winter Holidays are Here at WDW – 2010

My wife Vickie and I visited Walt Disney World a few days after Thanksgiving to check out Disney’s progress with holiday decorations. We like Disney popcorn, so we bought a small box. You probably know that holiday food and drink containers often contain Hidden and Decorative Mickey images. We weren’t disappointed! Some decent Hidden Mickeys … Continue reading "Winter Holidays are Here at WDW – 2010"

It was my very good fortune to spend the day recently with Scott Mayerowitz from ABC News. You can imagine our mission: we were looking for Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World! Charles from Disney accompanied Scott, Vickie (my wife) and me around WDW property. In the photo, from left to right, are Charles, Scott, … Continue reading "ABC News and Hidden Mickeys"

I met up with Marc Lorenzo (a dad on the WDW Moms Panel) and his son Josiah at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. They wore great pirates’ costumes! The Party was terrific fun, with many folks dressed in fabulous costumes. Later, Marc and I searched for Hidden Mickeys in the Wilderness Lodge Villas. (If … Continue reading "Wilderness Lodge Hidden Mickeys with Marc and Josiah"

I had a recent opportunity to check out a few Disneyland Hidden Characters. I always enjoy visiting Walt’s original park. Over the years, Imagineers and artists have placed many compelling Hidden Images on Disneyland Resort property. Take the Hidden Minnie along the right side of the long, scenic entrance queue of Indiana Jones Adventure. In … Continue reading "Disneyland, CA Hidden Mickeys"

Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion – Hidden Mickeys

Disney hosted an “open house” recently at the Wedding Pavilion next to the Grand Floridian Resort. Inside the Pavilion, I enjoyed a question and answer session with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons staff. They told us some interesting stories about their Disney ceremonies. For example, imagine a wedding reception (after park hours) inside The … Continue reading "Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion – Hidden Mickeys"

I tried out the new Via Napoli Restaurant in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion with Marc Lorenzo (Walt Disney World Moms Panel) and his son Josiah. I’m on the left in the photo. Ryan P. Wilson had alerted me to an image on the right side of the rear wall mural inside Via Napoli. It’s a wisp … Continue reading "A Day at Aloha Isle and Epcot"

One recent warm Florida afternoon, my wife Vickie and I headed out for Epcot’s World Showcase to savor dinner at one of our favorite Disney restaurants, Teppan Edo. With us was Jim, a friend and neighbor and fellow Disney fan. (Jim and I have enjoyed a number of special Disney days together.) Who could join … Continue reading "WDW in August with Friends and a Disney Mom"

Pixie Hollow Magic Kingdom Hidden Mickeys

I checked out a few Hidden Mickey sightings at Pixie Hollow inside the Toontown Hall of Fame Tent, Mickey’s Toontown Fair. A feeling of nostalgia was part of my motivation for returning to Pixie Hollow, since this colorful area may disappear with the ambitious Fantasyland renovation, although I hope some of these Hidden Mickeys are … Continue reading "Pixie Hollow Magic Kingdom Hidden Mickeys"

D Street Hidden Mickeys

As you probably know, new venues at any Disney property will likely harbor new Hidden Mickeys. The D Street store at WDW Downtown Disney West Side is no exception. I stopped inside to speak with Cast Members about Hidden Characters in their store, and they were most accommodating. One classic (three-circle) Mickey image that is … Continue reading "D Street Hidden Mickeys"

Magic Kingdom Resort Hidden Mickeys

I visited the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts one afternoon to look for Hidden Mickeys. Disney characters hide in the marble floor around the Grand Floridian lobby. (Baseer Muqri informed me that Mickey and Minnie are also in the marble floor at the entrance to 1900 Park Fare restaurant). Here’s Mickey near the lobby entrance doors. … Continue reading "Magic Kingdom Resort Hidden Mickeys"
