REVIEW: New Secret Menu Items Just Dropped in Disney World and We’re Not Gatekeeping

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the best parks to find some delicious eats in, whether you’re looking at quick-service restaurants or table service.

Blueberry Zen

One of the restaurants we find that often gets overlooked and underappreciated is none other than Yak & Yeti. There is a quick-service version of this spot, called Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes, but we’re specifically talking about the table service restaurant that you need to snag reservations for (though it’s usually not that hard to grab one). There’s a secret menu here you can get access to if you know where to look, and there’s not one, but FOUR new drinks available that may be right up your alley.

These drinks are only available at the bar and can only be made by bartenders, so if you want access to the secret menu, you’ll need to head to the bar rather than a regular table. There are currently twelve drinks on the Forbidden Libations menu, but four of them are new additions. Those are:

  • Camp VI: Old Forester Bourbon, Yuzu Simple Syrup, Habanero Shrub
  • Scorpion Sting: Milagro Tequila, Cointreau, Yuzu, Cucumber, Lime, Sriracha
  • Blueberry Zen: Tito’s Vodka, Cointreau, Blueberry, Lemon, Pineapple, Orange Citrate
  • Ridgeline: Tito’s Vodka, Licor 43, Pandan Extract, Espresso, Simple Syrup
Yak & Yeti

We decided to grab the Blueberry Zen for $18. The strongest flavor that came through for us was the orange, as it tasted very much like the part where the orange ends and rind begins. We couldn’t really taste the vodka, other than a little burn. The pineapple and blueberry weren’t strong enough to overpower the orange, and we do wish the flavors had been a bit more balanced. Our reporter usually loves orange flavored things, but did not really care for this, because it wasn’t sweet enough to satisfy that craving and overall wasn’t very fruity.

Blueberry Zen

While this one didn’t hit the spot for us, we are interested in coming back to try some of the other drinks on the menu and continue checking back to see when new ones may be added.
