Who’s ready for spooky season? We know we are!

Disneyland Resort has just announced its offerings for the Halloween season, and we can’t wait to check them out. So what’s being offered this year? Here’s the list!
Halloween Time
Starting out with the resort-wide celebrations, Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort on August 21st and runs through October 31st. There will be lots to enjoy, including Mickey Mouse and friends in new costumes “featuring harlequin motifs, frilled collars and cuffs, and swirling confection details in hues of orange, yellow, and black.”

Haunted Mansion Holiday will also be back with an all-new gingerbread house display, as well as all the characters you know and love. Popular Halloween park decor will return as well, including the giant Mickey pumpkin. A NEW pumpkin will be joining the ring surrounding the Partners Statue, paying homage to Galaxy’s Edge with Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon.

The “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will return during these celebrations, with projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world,” and Rivers of America. Fireworks will happen with the show on select nights.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is also returning for 2026. This beloved scavenger hunt features pumpkins hidden around Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. You can purchase a map at select retail locations.

Another great offering during Halloween is Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour, which is “a one-of-a-kind stroll through eerie tales across Disneyland and California Adventure.” It’s available at an extra cost.
Ride Overlays and Entertainment at California Adventure
As usual, California Adventure will get some seasonal decor, including the return of the Headless Horseman statue near the front of the park and Oogie Boogie decorating the park entrance.

Cars Land turns into Radiator Screams once again, with Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween as ride overlays. In the late afternoon each day, Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark will take guests on a mission to save Groot.

And for your little ones, Mickey’s Trick and Treat show will take place at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land beginning on August 18th.
Hotel Happenings
At the resorts, there will be new decorations this year! Pixar Place will get all-new Halloween decor inspired by Monsters, Inc. At Disneyland Hotel, the decor will be inspired by Haunted Mansion. There will even be special confection displays at Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian.

Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian will host Mickey’s Autumn Adventures for breakfast and brunch and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner in the evenings. Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween will offer fun-filled dining throughout the day at Disneyland Hotel.

Broken Spell Lounge will also offer a Halloween-themed cocktail menu.
Plaza de la Familia
From August 21st through November 2nd, you can celebrate Día de los Muertos at Disney California Adventure Park with Plaza de la Familia. Disney says, “Let the music move you during ‘The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!’ as a traveling troupe of storytellers bring songs like ‘Remember Me’ and ‘The World Es Mi Familia’ to life. You’ll also be able to sing and dance along to live mariachi music at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.”

Paradise Garden Grill will offer special menu items for the occasion, including the returning Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta.
You’ll also be able to spot decor inspired by Día de los Muertos in Disneyland Park near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.
Oogie Boogie Bash
Of course, one of the biggest Halloween offerings at Disneyland Resort is Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes place on select nights at California Adventure. We already knew that this hard-ticketed event would be happening from August 18th through October 31st, but now we know that tickets go on sale to the general public on June 18th. Inspire Magic Key holders have access on June 16th, and all Magic Key holders have access on June 17th.

As part of Oogie Boogie Bash in 2026, there will be a NEW street party! Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party will “feature multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, inviting you to partake in a ghastly good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.”

WHEW, that’s a LOT of updates about Halloween in Disneyland Resort. We’ll keep you in the loop with everything as we learn more. Stay tuned by subscribing to our newsletter and following us on social media.
