The Walt Disney Company is a big partner of Make-A-Wish and helps families experience once-in-a-lifetime trips to Disney Parks. Disney is the world’s largest WishMaker, granting wishes every hour of every day all year round, but they’re celebrating the Week of Wishes to highlight life-changing wishes.

During the Week of Wishes, former Disney CEO Bob Iger will receive the inaugural WishMaker Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of the more than 110,000 wishes Disney granted during his tenure. In 2025, Disney provided Make-A-Wish with $30 million of support.

They also released the cutest video ever that is hitting us all in the feels.

To support families in Disney World, families are welcomed into the Wish Lounge, which is a space reserved exclusively for wish families to rest and relax during their Magic Kingdom trip. It opened in the late 2000s but was recently rehtemed with special touches and artwork that focuses on wish-granting moments in favorite Disney stories. The space is meant to be quiet and relaxing so they can experience family time together during their wish.

Make-A-Wish

One Disney Cast Member, Abigail Hoyle. spent time in the Wish Lounge in 2011 during her own Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World. Abigail said, “As part of the entertainment team, I help kids and their families meet their favorite characters. It’s so special to be able to do that because that’s what the Cast Members did for me on my Make-A-Wish trip. So it really is a full circle moment.”

During the reconstruction of the lounge, Abigail and her fellow Cast Members, who are Make-A-Wish alumni, were invited to sign a wall in the Wish Lounge, becoming a part of the ongoing legacy. The Cast Members are part of the team that grants more than 7,000 wishes at Disney World each year.
