Disney World made an Annual Pass change that might impact some upcoming vacations and we’ve got all the details you need to know.

The Disney Sorcerer Pass has an updated rule that could affect Disney Vacation Club members!
The Sorcerer Pass is the most popular type of Annual Pass for Disney Vacation Club members. It’s the cheapest pass available for non-Florida residents to purchase, but you have to be a DVC member to get it out of state. But now, this rule could make it harder for some DVC members to get the Sorcerer Pass!

With the new rule, Sorcerer Pass purchases by DVC Members are limited to immediate family living in their household, up to a total of eight per year. That means if you have an out-of-state family of nine or more, or you’re heading on vacation with your parents or extended family with a different address, they’ll have to purchase the more expensive Incredi-Pass.
The wording USED to say, “To purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Vacation Club Members must be eligible for Membership Extras. Membership Extras are incidental benefits — these offers are subject to availability, change or termination and may require a fee.”

The NEW wording now reads, “To purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Vacation Club Members must be eligible for Membership Extras. Passes may only be purchased by eligible Members for themselves and their immediate family living in their household, up to a total of eight (8) per year. Annual pass offers are not part of the ownership interest and are an incidental benefit subject to availability, change or termination.”
What would a Disney Vacation Club trip look like with the Sorcerer Pass vs the Incredi-Pass? For starters, the Sorcerer Pass costs $1,099 plus tax, while the Incredi-Pass costs $1,629 plus tax. If the $600 price difference wasn’t enough of an issue for some, you’re also not able to pay monthly – monthly payment plans are only offered for Florida residents.

The Sorcerer Pass and Incredi-Pass both allow you to make up to 5 park reservations at once. The only difference is their blockout dates – the Sorcerer Pass has limited park access on select days during select holiday periods, while the Incredi-Pass has zero blockout dates.
