Disney Cruise Line just revealed a new surprise for its newest ship and it’s one you won’t want to miss!

As Disney Cruise Line releases new updates about Disney Adventure, we can’t help but think, “how much MORE excited can we be for this ship?” and then they drop another next-level announcement. In their latest release, Disney has revealed a nighttime experience that’s sure to redefine evenings at sea, and one thing is already clear: Disney is once again raising the bar for onboard entertainment. Let’s dive into what was just announced and what it means for future cruisers!
Disney Cruise Line has just revealed one of the most dazzling surprises yet for its newest ship, Disney Adventure! In the latest entry of the Disney Adventure Ship’s Log, Disney confirmed that an all-new fireworks show will be lighting up the night sky above the open ocean starting with voyages in 2026.

The show, officially titled “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky,” brings the heart, music, and spirit of The Lion King to life through a breathtaking mix of pyrotechnics, lighting effects, and stirring musical arrangements that will make evenings at sea truly unforgettable.
This isn’t your typical cruise fireworks, though. Disney Cruise Line remains one of the only cruise fleets in the world to offer fireworks at sea, and this new show promises a spectacular evolution of that tradition. The production celebrates The Lion King story and characters with stunning pyrotechnics synchronized to beloved songs from the film such as “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” all reimagined with fresh arrangements performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra alongside powerful vocals from the Ndlovu Youth Choir.

Adding even more star power and storytelling magic, internationally acclaimed actor Shah Rukh Khan (who voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of The Lion King films) will serve as the show’s narrator, connecting guests with familiar characters and moments in an unforgettable way.

This brand-new nighttime spectacular will be featured on select evenings during three and four-night sailings aboard Disney Adventure, giving cruisers even more reasons to look forward to nights under the stars once the ship begins sailing from Singapore in March 2026.

Whether you’re a longtime Disney Cruise Line fan or planning your first voyage, “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” is shaping up to be one of the most immersive and emotionally resonant shows ever offered at sea and a must-see highlight of your Disney Adventure journey. Stay tuned with us for more details and showtimes as Disney continues to share updates about its upcoming ship and more!
