Heads Up! This Universal Orlando Restaurant Is Closing Soon

In just a few days, a popular Universal Orlando restaurant will be closing for a lengthy refurbishment. You have just a few days to get one last meal in before the restaurant closes for quite a while.

If you want to grab its beloved Beer Battered Onion Rings, or chow down on some Guinness Beef Stew, you’d better make your way over to Universal Studios soon! You have just three days left before this restaurant closes for renovations.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios Florida will be closed beginning January 12th, 2026. And we have more bad news…it’s not going to be a quick refurbishment, either. Currently, the restaurant isn’t expected to reopen until winter 2026. Finnegan’s is an Irish-American pub that features a lively bar and a full-service restaurant. You can find Irish dishes like Fish & Chips, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and Dublin Lawyer, plus classic American dishes.

If you are heading to Universal Orlando this year, we wanted to give you a heads up about this closure! Luckily, you still have plenty of dining options at Universal Studios Florida, but Finnegan’s is a popular dining spot for visitors, so we don’t want you to be caught by surprise. If you are looking for a different table service option, you can head over to Lombard’s Seafood Grille. You can also find Louie’s Italian Restaurant nearby, which is a quick-service restaurant.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill won’t be the only thing closed at Universal in January, either. Jurassic Park River Adventure is closed from January 5th until November 19th, 2026. Revenge of the Mummy will be closed from January 15th until January 21st. Looking ahead to February, the Hogwarts Express will be closed from February 9th until February 23rd.
