3 NEW Food Rules for Harry Potter Land at Epic Universe

Over the years, I’ve eaten at each of Universal’s Wizarding Worlds, but even those experiences didn’t quite prepare me for eating at the latest Potterland at Epic Universe!

The latest Wizarding World of Harry Potter land, Ministry of Magic, opened as part of Universal’s Epic Universe in 2025. Like its counterparts — Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure and Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida — the new land features plenty of food options, from old favorites like Butterbeer to all-new eats and snacks. So, what did I think of it?

Epic Universe’s Wizarding Food Blows the Other Parks out of the Water

The new Potter land had big culinary shoes to fill as the first two Wizarding Worlds featured some of Universal’s most beloved offerings. However, as far as I’m concerned, the Ministry of Magic is an undisputed champion. From the delicious Butterbeer Crepes at Café L’air De La Sirene…

… to Le Goblet Nor’s Jägerschnitzel (a crispy pork cutlet, brown mushroom gravy, and tavern frites), the dining options in this land were amazing.

And then there’s Bar Moonshine, which is tucked away in the back of the land. In particular, the Lobe Blaster (a potent mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe, lemon juice, club soda, and simple syrup garnished with a rosemary sprig and layered with an émulsion verte) was a delicious, if dangerous, beverage option to wash down one of the aforementioned delicious meals.

Of course, not everything is perfect…

The Pumpkin Juice is Past Midnight

Universal has done a wonderful job bringing the Wizarding World foods of the Harry Potter series into reality. From Butterbeer to Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream, so many of our favorites have been realized in flavorful ways. However, Pumpkin Juice simply isn’t one of them. The drink sadly doesn’t capture what I imagined it would taste like when reading the series.

Explore Menus Like They’re the Marauder’s Map

Something very interesting I’ve noticed when dining in the Potter lands is that in almost every Wizarding restaurant, my favorite thing on the menu is something I never would have chosen on my own. For example, at Café L’air De La Sirene, my go-to pick would actually be the Galette de Tomates et Fromage, a roasted tomato, soubise, and goat cheese baked in a butter pastry.

The case was similar at Le Gobelet Noir, where my top pick would be the Herb Crusted Cod, which is served with potatoes and caramelized leeks in a creamy broth. This lightly breaded fish dish is perfect for a day at the park.

So take a risk and try something new! In a land with food this good, you likely won’t be disappointed, and you just might find your new food obsession!!

If you’re heading to the newest Wizarding World soon, keep these things in mind when deciding on a meal. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Epic Universe!
