Disneyland is busy right now!

The original Disney theme park is celebrating its 70th Anniversary, and with that comes a lot of celebration and changes! Now, another change is hitting the park, but this time it’s the closure of a popular ride. Let’s check it out!
Disneyland is changing again! The park is busy celebrating its 70th Anniversary, bringing new parades, character costumes, snacks, and more. Now, another change is coming to the park soon, and it could change your strategy and plans in a big way.

Starting on August 11th, 2025, Haunted Mansion will be closed! We noticed the change on Disneyland’s website because the times for the attraction have been removed. The times are also removed on August 12th, but that is as far as the calendar goes at the time of writing.

While Disney has yet to confirm, we’re curious to see if this is the annual closure the ride goes through to transform into Haunted Mansion Holiday! Haunted Mansion Holiday is an overlay added to this classic attraction themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas!

This overlay happens annually as a part of Disneyland’s holiday celebrations. We do know that the overlay is coming back from August 22nd, 2025, until January 7th, 2025.

While this change is sometimes a bit divisive amongst some Disney fans, we are super excited to see it return! We won’t know how long the closure is for or if it is for Haunted Mansion Holiday until Disney confirms. We do know, at the very least, the ride will be reopened by August 22nd! As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.

I am at a loss as to why the parks are crammed full of people, the on-site hotels are priced at up towards $1800 a night, the food is overpriced and of poor quality, the lines and wait times are insane, I believe just for fun a bunch of execs get together and choose a ride name out of a hat and close it down for 6 months to a year but yet people keep going and going, regardless and don’t get me started on why the Disney railroad is always effected. When building the Cars and Villans lands and going THRU the Magic Kingdom why not come in from behind so as to lessen the disruption. They CAN do it they choose not to and I think the disruption is what draws more guests even though people whine about it the attendance proves the opposite. Can’t even imagine the disappointment when they eventually shut down Spaceship Earth for a year and a half or maybe two years. Me? I am personally still trying to get over the fact that they ended The Electrical Light parade. I realize the need to stay relevant especially with Universal Studios constantly building new lands but it just seems to be never ending. Thank you for letting me vent. I love WDW and always will but I miss the old Disney.
