When staying at a Disney World resort, you have so many perks at your fingertips!

From Early Theme Park Entry to free transportation around the property, Disney hotel guests get access to a variety of benefits that help cut down on stress and maximize their time in the parks. Whether it’s being able to grab Lightning Lane selections earlier than off-site guests or just having the ability to pop back to your room for a midday break, those little extras can really add up. One of those perks is access to the Rapid Refillable Mugs!
If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, the Rapid Fill Refillable Mugs can be a handy little perk, especially if your group runs on caffeine or loves a good soft drink. These mugs are available for purchase at Disney Resort food courts and quick service locations. They currently cost $22.99 for the length of your stay (up to 14 days — we will come back to this). Once activated, they give you unlimited refills of soda, coffee, tea, and other fountain beverages at any Disney Resort hotel self-service beverage station. They’re equipped with RFID chips in the base, so just place your mug under the drink dispenser, and it’ll recognize your mug and let the good times (and drinks) flow!

Now, for the pros and cons. If you’re planning to spend a lot of time at your resort or love starting and ending your day with a hot or cold drink, the mug pays for itself pretty quickly. It’s also a fun souvenir you can take home. On the downside, the mugs don’t work in the theme parks, which is a bummer if you were hoping to refill during your day. You’ll also need to walk to the designated refill stations, which can be a hike depending on where your room is located.

Now, back to the 14-day limit. That might not always be the case — let us explain. We recently had a few readers inform us that on their trips in the past, when they stayed longer than 14 days at a Disney resort, they were able to talk to Cast Members and get their refills extended for the length of their stay.

However, when we talked to Disney and asked them, they said you would likely have to purchase a new mug after 14 days, but to ask a Cast Member at your resort to double-check. It wouldn’t hurt to ask them before purchasing a new mug, but just keep in mind you might need to if you’re looking to keep those refills going.

We hope this helps you on your Disney World vacation! For more tips and tricks, be sure to follow AllEars.net.
