Another cruise ship will soon call Port Canaveral home!

Port Canaveral, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida, is conveniently located about an hour and a half from the Central Florida theme parks. In just about two years, in the Spring of 2027, Carnival Cruise Line will bring a new ship, the Carnival Festivale, to Port Canaveral.
The Carnival Festivale is the fourth ship in Carnival’s Excel Class and will feature three new onboard immersive experience zones centered around music. Passengers will also be able to enjoy six water slides, one of which is a family raft slide, and splash pads, all located in the outdoor zone called Sunsation Point. Typically, this area on the Excel Class ships is dedicated to BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster. This is a significant change as sister ships usually keep the same layout.

In addition to the new water area, there will also be miniature golf, an elevated adventure trail, and arcade games. Carnival says that this new area will be open at night and include extended water park hours, which would be a first for the company. This would allow passengers to enjoy multi-deck zones of fun throughout the evening.

Carnival seems to want to ensure that this vessel can serve families, as it will offer about 70% more interconnecting cabins that the other three Excel ships have. The other three ships in this class include the Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee.

What is a cruise without food? There will be new places for guests to grab a bite to eat, and of course, Guy’s Burger Joint will be hitting the high seas once again on the Festivale.
Carnival says that you can expect itineraries for this brand-new cruise ship to be released this summer.
