Disney Just Dropped 2 BIG Announcements About Its 70th Anniversary Event

Disneyland has some big things coming!

The original Disney park’s 70th anniversary celebrations kick off on May 16th, 2025, with returning parades, new character experiences, new shows, and more! Now, the latest news for the big anniversary is making the event even sweeter, and we have the details right here.

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary is almost here! The park opened on July 17th, 1955, but the celebrations begin on May 16th, 2025. There are so many things coming for the festivities, and we have even more news! Starting on April 10th, 2025, you can start booking two brand-new dessert parties for the celebration. 

The first of the two new additions is the World of Color Happiness! Dessert Party! The party will include a dining experience that comes with preferred seating for the new nighttime show “World of Color Happiness” coming to Disney California Adventure.

Our first glimpse at the dessert party box looks shows some sweet treats as well as a charcuterie spread. Suddenly, we’re craving cheese and fireworks. For the second new evening event coming to the parks, it’s the Better Together Dessert Party!

This party lets you treat yourself to a dining experience with a special viewing area to watch Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! This parade is also in California Adventure and features close to 30 famous Pixar characters. This parade debuted for Pixar Fest in 2024 and is returning for the 70th anniversary.
