Lengthy CLOSURE Announced for Disney's Napa Rose Restaurant, Makeover Revealed

Exciting new additions have just been announced for the hotels at Disneyland Resort!

Two brand-new concierge lounges are coming to the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and some rooms are even getting new Coco and The Incredibles theming! Disney also announced a makeover for the award-winning Napa Rose restaurant, and that means it will have a lengthy closure.

Napa Rose will be “taking its dining experience to the next level with an exquisite new look that celebrates Craftsman design with an eye toward modern Californian luxury and approachability.” But, in order to make that happen, the restaurant will temporarily close this spring and will reopen sometime this fall.

Disney shared that “the restaurant will have a rustic elegance and will be a tapestry of California’s storied history of wine and wine making, using natural textures such as reclaimed French oak flooring and columns (a type of wood used to make wine barrels), hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep colors of cabernet, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines.”

The exhibition kitchen will remain, but the restaurant will expand the counters so “guests can watch the masters in action” from a new point of view. Not only that, but the outside patio will be enhanced with more seating for dining al fresco — including two new fireplaces to help add some ambiance.

When Napa Rose reopens, the restaurant will introduce a new menu — but don’t worry, they will still feature fan-favorites like the Smiling Tiger Salad along with a collection of more than 1,500 different wine labels.

If you’ve got an upcoming stay planned at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, keep in mind that you might not be able to dine at Napa Rose during your visit. Official closing and reopening dates have yet to be revealed, but we’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
