WARNING: One Disney World Icon Is About to CHANGE

When you think of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, what is one of the first things you envision? If you are like us, the Tree of Life might be one of the first things that pop into your head.

This park icon is stunning, but the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going to be seeing some changes in the upcoming year!

The Tree of Life is located front and center when you walk into Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is a gorgeous park icon that is awe-inspiring and features over 300 animals carved into the tree. You could spend hours trying to find all the animals! It stands at an impressive 145 feet tall and provides for some beautiful photo opportunities.

We don’t think Animal Kingdom would be Animal Kingdom without the Tree of Life icon, but this stunning tree will be undergoing some changes in 2025. The “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” show is currently located inside of the Tree of Life, but it will be replaced by the new “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” show next year.

Now, we aren’t expecting drastic changes to the Tree of Life, but there will likely be some sort of construction walls in the area as Disney prepares for the new theater show. It is possible the Tree of Life may be impacted, and pathways that you can use to walk around the tree might be closed down. We don’t know yet how extensive the construction for the new show will be though. Disney could change a lot in the area, or they could just update the parts that are for the “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” show.

The new “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” show is expected to open in winter of 2025. This theater show will take us on an adventure through different biomes seen in the film. Disney hasn’t released too many details about the show beyond some concept art and the fact that it will be replacing “It’s Tough to Be a Bug.”
