We go to Disney World every day.

We know where all the best bathrooms are. We know the best places to eat. We have figured out the best strategies for using Genie+. And while we might be pros, even after all of that, the AllEars team still makes mistakes; sometimes, they are stupid.
As we said, even the pros do dumb things, and our team is no exception. These are the top five mistakes we have made at Disney World (and sometimes still make, oops!)

Not Wearing Comfortable Shoes
A pair of comfortable walking shoes is necessary for a Disney World vacation! We have even recommended the best shoes to wear, yet we still find ourselves forgetting to break in our shoes. We have been guilty of wearing Doc Martens sandals and brand-new shoes into the park without breaking them in!

Do NOT be like us. Make sure you bring a comfortable pair of shoes for your park days. Your feet will thank you at the end of the night when you return to your hotel, and then you have to wake up and do it all again the following day!
Forgetting Sunglasses
Florida is nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” and it gets bright! We sometimes forget to bring our shades and regret it every time! Do not be like us! When you get your park bag ready, make sure to do a mental checklist and have sunglasses in your bag!

You do not want to be squinting in all your cute park photos, so do yourself a favor and always remember to bring your sunglasses with you when you leave for a day around Disney World!
Forgetting to Re-Apply Sunscreen
Remember how we just mentioned that Florida is known as the “Sunshine State?” Well, it is super important to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen when you are in the parks!

Sometimes, we forget to re-apply sunscreen and end up burnt later! Don’t ruin your vacation by getting sunburnt, and be better than us. Remember to apply sunscreen regularly throughout the day!
Rope Dropping Wrong
Some of us love to rope drop, and others don’t. If you don’t know, rope dropping is when you get to the park right at open for when the rope drops to open up each part of the park. For the times that we do rope drop, sometimes we find ourselves so excited to ride our favorite ride that we have the wrong strategy.

There have been times when we think we have our rope drop plans all set and then realize that the ride we were planning on riding is not even open during rope drop. Don’t be like us, and make sure the ride you want to ride is available during rope drop!
Tripping on the Tracks on Main Street
You would think we would know to avoid the tracks on Main Street, but somehow we always find ourselves tripping and twisting our ankles.

When you are walking on Main Street make sure to look down so you don’t end up hurting yourself! If you are pushing a stroller or wheelchair, the wheels like to get stuck in the tracks and that is another thing you should try to look out for!

While we like to consider ourselves experts, we sometimes even forget to take our own advice! Learn from us and don’t make these mistakes!
