Okay, so saying that this is Minnie Mouse’s favorite holiday is probably a bold assumption.

However, it really seems fitting for Minnie Mouse to LOVE National Polka Dot Day. Hey, she’s been rockin’ the look for years now. If you’re hoping to celebrate National Polka Dot Day at Disney World, you can totally do that. Here’s how!
January 22nd marks National Polka Dot Day, and in honor of the occasion, you can grab a few Minnie Mouse-inspired treats in Disney World for a limited time. Check it out! (OH, and of course we’re celebrating in true Minnie style. Check out Fry Bucket’s outfit!)

First up, you can grab a version of the Minnie Mouse Kitchen Sink Sundae at various resorts around Disney World property.

Another version of the Minnie Mouse Kitchen Sink Sundae is available at Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re grabbing this one to try it — so stay tuned until the end of this post to check out our review!

There’s also a Minnie Mouse Dome Cake at Amorette’s Patisserie.

Last but not least, you can get the Minnie Mouse Waffle Sundae at Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs.

Alright, now that we’ve shared all the polka-dotted snacks you can get at Disney World right now, let’s get into that review we mentioned! We headed to Hollywood Scoops to grab their version of the Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae for $24.99.

This is strawberry ice cream topped with red vanilla whipped cream, chocolate syrup, white “polka dot” sprinkles, cookie ears, and a chocolate bow. A little chocolate-covered strawberry action, perhaps? Of course, this treat comes in a bowl that looks like a kitchen sink — that looks like Minnie’s skirt.

Not only is this snack absolutely adorable, it’s also tasty. The strawberry ice cream is thick and creamy and has a GREAT strawberry flavor, but it doesn’t have any strawberry chunks in it that we could tell. This was good news for us, because we don’t really like the texture of real fruit in our ice cream at times.

There’s just the right amount of chocolate syrup. There’s enough of it to complement the dessert, but not so much that it’s overwhelming. The cookies and sprinkles added some extra crunch that really added a complexity that we appreciated, and took this treat a step higher than your average sundae.

We only have a couple of complaints that aren’t actually real complaints. Firstly, the whipped cream will totally stain your hands, teeth, lips, and whatever else it gets on. We hope you love the color red. Secondly, we felt a bit awkward toting around this sink all day. However, it’s totally worth it to have the unique souvenir.
We definitely recommend this snack to anyone who loves strawberry ice cream and odd souvenirs. Make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing!
