You know it wouldn’t be a new Disney land without some new food to go along with it. Multiple new dining locations are coming soon to San Fransokyo Square, and now we officially know when the new land will be open!
San Fransokyo Square will officially be opening on August 31st! We already knew when some of the new restaurants would start serving new menu items, but now we know when the rest of the land will be open for guests.

Disney shared that the land will be “featuring sights, shopping and cuisine from the industrious mash-up city from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award-winning film Big Hero 6.”

That means the meet and greets, gift shops, and more exciting new experiences will all be available then as well. You can check out the new menu items right here.
Here’s a bit more about what will be appearing in the rethemed land:
- New eats at Lucky Fortune Cookery
- Rethemed Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería restaurant space
- Special theming at locations across the area. Disney has said that places from the Cappuccino Cart outside of the San Fransokyo Gate Bridge to The Bakery Tour “will be decked out in street art and colorful banners celebrating the Big Hero 6 team after their victory over Yokai.”
- Meet-and-greet with Baymax and Hiro outside the Hamada Bot Shop
- New store — San Fransokyo Maker’s Market — with “unique apparel, homewares and more featuring Baymax and friends.”
- A vending machine with collectible medallions of Baymax and other iconic images from San Fransokyo
- New creations inspired by Asian cuisine
- Aunt Cass Café — which will serve dishes, soups, and more inspired by Japanese cuisine
- Rita’s Turbine Blenders — which will have margaritas and icy beverages
- New menu items at Cocina Cucamonga and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

We’ll be on the lookout for more news from San Fransokyo Square, and you can be sure we’ll give you our thoughts on all the new food and drinks once we try them — so stay tuned to AllEars for more!
