VIDEO: NEW TRAILER Released for Disney's Upcoming Animated Movie

A NEW Disney animated movie is coming soon and we FINALLY have more news about it.

Disney first shared a look at the new animated film Wish during the D23 Expo in 2022. The movie is set to be released in November of 2023 and will follow a smart and optimistic 17-year-old girl named Asha and Star (who is an actual star from the sky!). And now we’ve got some HUGE NEWS about the film.

Disney has released a brand NEW teaser trailer for the movie — watch it below!

The song included in the teaser trailer is called “This Wish,” and it is performed by Ariana DeBose. It’s just one of several new songs that have been written for the movie by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice.

The movie is a musical comedy and is set in the land of Rosas, a fantastical land located off the Iberian Peninsula. Director Chris Buck (who is working on the film along with Fawn Veerasunthorn) shares, “Our heroine, Asha, lives in Rosas, known as the kingdom of wishes…People come from everywhere to give their wishes to a magical king who promises to grant their deepest desires—someday. Only he can decide which wishes will come true and when.”

In the movie, Asha “makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.”

The film stars Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s goat, Valentino. It’ll be released in theaters on November 22nd, 2023.
