You’ve explored Disney World, made your way over to Busch Gardens, explored Universal Orlando, and maybe even made a visit to SeaWorld Orlando, but there’s ANOTHER spot you might want to visit soon in Orlando.

ICON Park is a 20-acre entertainment destination with restaurants, bars, a giant observation wheel, and a variety of attractions to explore. And soon some MORE attractions are coming to this area.
According to Spectrum News 13, a NEW 8,000-square-foot entertainment center will open at ICON Park this fall! The spot is called “Max Action Arena.”

Within this spot, you’ll find a variety of different things to experience. One of the attractions will be a Virtual Reality experience called Zero Latency VR.
During this experience, up to 8 guests will be placed in a large arena to either battle or explore, and they’ll be able to move freely in the open space. According to Ray Smith, the Family Entertainment Group Vice President of Business Development, “With its cutting-edge VR technology and collaborative experiences, Max Action Arena is the perfect place for friends and family to compete and explore together.”

In addition to the VR experience, there will also be an escape room available which will be set on Planet Obscura. Visitors will have to try to repair the engine of their spacecraft, which has been damaged, and launch their ship before they’re stranded FOREVER.

There will also be an axe-throwing space, where people will throw axes at a wooden target.

Adventure rooms are another thing guests will be able to explore. In these spaces, guests will be able to “solve a crime with CSI, solve puzzles in a medieval world, adapt to alien abductions or find a way to survive a cursed room.”
The Max Action Arena website notes that they’ll have individual and family packages, and packages for groups.

No specific opening date has been shared yet, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details. If you’re looking for a non-Disney adventure to add to your trip, this might be worth checking out. ICON Park is located at 8375 International Drive, Orlando FL 32819, just about 16-18 minutes from Disney World.
