Star Wars fans across the globe are preparing for May the 4th and in Disney World, we’ve already seen a sneak peek of treats to come for the unofficial Star Wars holiday.

Not only that, but there’s an all-new, immersive experience coming to Disney Springs! For a limited time, guests will be able to preview Meta Quest 2 — Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge. This virtual reality experience allows guests to immerse themselves in the Star Wars story, and we’re bringing you with us to check it out!
From May 2nd, through July 21st, the Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge virtual reality experience will be taking place where the NBA Experience once stood, on Disney Springs’ West Side.

From 12PM to 10PM daily, guests will be able to test our their Repulsor Dart skills or even explore Batuu by making your way out of Black Spire Outpost.

This experience is totally free, and you get some fun perks too! We waited about 15 minutes for our turn with a Meta Quest 2, and you get an 8-minute sample of the Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge game.

We ate Ronto Wraps, played darts, and explored Batuu! It was a really fun experience even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan. Plus, if you’re a fan of Batuu in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may enjoy this as a virtual trip to the parks!

Essentially, this experience reminded us of a pop-up shop, and we received a $25 gift card to the Quest Store AND a free water bottle after filling out a survey! You can’t purchase a Meta Quest 2 here but you can use your gift card toward a system or the game itself.

Check out our video of the space below!
