runDisney Hints at ‘Frozen’ Theme for Summer Virtual 5Ks

runDisney is teasing us today with the theme for its summer virtual race series!

You know about the runDisney Marathon Weekend, Princess Half-Marathon, and other fun runs at Disney World and Disneyland Resort. But the past few years, runDisney has offered virtual races, as well, and we now know the theme of the upcoming summer runs.

In an announcement on Twitter, runDisney hinted that its Summer Virtual Series theme will be…Frozen!

runDisney says more details about the running series will be announced on May 28th. The 2021 summer series included three Lion King-themed 5Ks, and those that ran all three received a fourth medal for completing the series.

Registrants in runDisney virtual races get a downloadable race bib and completion certificate, access to a race playlist, and then receive their medal in the mail after they log their race completion. 2021 pricing for the events was $40 for individual races and $145 for the race series. All of last summer’s events sold out online.
